    • Home from SW Rocks after 5 glorious days of AWESOME Diving! We took beautiful weather with us: Warm, sunny and calm. 0 to 1/2 metre swell. 10 - 25 metre visibility. 18-19 degrees water temp.

Stayed in Dive lodge run by Pete and our dive master most days was Mike (would you believe!)

      We dived
Green Island, Black Rock and the icing on the cake was of course Fish Rock. An awesome rock and huge cave through it - FULL of lobsters and walls of bulleyes and a HUGE black cod!

    • Hiding at the bottom were wobbegong sharks and rays, on exiting the cave we took pics of sharks, fish circling the entrance.

The Greynurse sharks were cruising up and down the gutters around the rock. Dozens of them. I think they were more curious about us than we were about them. If we startled them they would crack their tails and race off. Mostly they just cruised past and circled around offering great photo opportunities.

    • Saw lots of amazing life down there: Star fish, anemone, lobsters, banded shrimp, cleaner shrimp, sea hare, nudibranchs, Lion fish, bat fish, king fish(surrounded by schools of them) black fish, bream, big eyes, gropers, clown fish, wrasse, fiddler rays, smooth ray ( 3 metre wing span), dozens of grey nurses, wobbies and moray eels of different varieties.

We survived a lot of glitches such as Roger forgetting his weights (and still managing to do his dive), Phil getting his mask kicked off and dropping his torch and me forgetting to set my computer and having to surface after 26minutes (what a waste of Nitrox). I am sure we all learned much from these incidents!

    • Spent our 'down time' downloading pics, eating, drinking and playing '500'. Taught Rhonda how to play and she beats us hands down!

ALL IN ALL a wonderful time was had by all. We all declared we would be back soon and went home to gloat over our pics and repair our gear!!!
