While the PADI Rescue Diver course is compulsory only for Divemaster certification, it is also highly recommended, as all scuba divers should know how to prevent and manage problems in the water.
Dive with confidence – in this course, our highly experienced instructors at Shellharbour Scuba Centre ask all students to partake in safe diving exercises. You will become a “better buddy,” and learn how to cope with scuba dive emergencies, minor or major, using a variety of techniques.
With simulated “rescue” scenarios, you will p3ut into practice self rescue; recognising and managing stress in other divers; emergency management and equipment; rescuing panicked divers; rescuing unresponsive divers.
Shellharbour Scuba Centre is proud to offer the PADI Rescue Diver course and while we take safe scuba diving practices seriously, our instructors take delight in offering this course in a fun and sociable format. If you want to learn more about general diver stress and rescue techniques, the PADI Open Water Diver manual and accompanying DVD are available for purchase.
