PADI Divemaster

Shellharbour Scuba Centre is proud to offer all students the ability to become a PADI Divemaster.

If you love scuba diving as much as we do, join our highly experienced instructors and make it a career!  Become a leader and take charge of dive activities by completing this first level of vital professional training.

Topics and practical workshops include, the role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster; supervising dive activities and assisting with student divers; diver safety and risk management; PADI Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills; business of diving and your career; awareness of the dive environment; dive setup and management; mapping an open water site; conducting dive briefings; organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive; conducting a scuba review and skin diver course.

You must accrue a minimum of sixty (60) hours of logged dives to earn your certification. Inquire about course material requirements prior to enrolment.

Prerequisite(s): Be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver; Be a PADI Rescue Diver; Have a minimum of forty (40) previously logged dives; Have a valid CPR and First Aid certificate; A medical statement signed by a physician within the last twelve (12) months; At least eighteen (18) years old.
