Scuba Diving Definition

Scuba Diving is a sport where one swims underwater with the use of scuba gear including a self contained underwater breathing apparatus.  This way, scuba divers can stay underwater for many hours.  Scuba diving enables the diver to swim with fish and get a close look at coral. 

 

Types of Fish Seen When Diving

Some of the many tropical fish that a diver may see include:  Blue Devil Fish, Sea Spiders, Bottlenose Dolphin, Lion Fish, Green Sea Turtle, Boxfish, Blue Bottle Jellyfish, Pineapple Fish, Octopus and Angle Shark. 

 

Favourite Diving Locations

In Australia there are many dive locations with some favourites including:  Bushrangers Bay, The Gutter, The Gravel Loader, Lou’s Reef/Rock, The Arch, Kiama, Killalea, Blue Devil Cave and Hole in the Wall.
